Pha That Luang and its surroundings

Pha That Luang

This golden stupa is often cited as the most important national landmark in Laos. And it even appears on one of the kip notes (kip is Laotian currency).

The surroundings

There are a few other temples around Pha That Luang. The first building that caught my attention while walking towards Pha That Luang across the That Luang square was this. Taking a walk in this temple showed the life of the Buddha through paintings.

There is also another temple right outside Pha That Luang, ie the one depicted as the backdrop in the fourth photo in this post.
